A facilitated experience of meditative mark-making — for teams, retreats, therapy rooms, classrooms, and any gathering that needs to pause.

WHAT HAPPENS

A room full of people, doing nothing together.

Abigail guides a group through the Scribble Meditation™ process — a series of small, quiet movements with pen and paper. No artistic skill is needed. No experience is required. Participants are not asked to draw, or create, or perform. They are asked only to move the pen and notice what arrives.

The room slows. Conversation stops. Something shifts. What emerges on each page is different — but the effect across the room is remarkably consistent: presence, relief, and a gentleness that lingers well after the session ends.

THE SESSION

How it unfolds

ARRIVAL

Participants settle. Materials are provided — pen, paper, nothing else. Abigail introduces the practice and sets the tone. No icebreakers. No expectations.

PRACTICE

Guided through the four movements — Sit, Soften, Move, Notice — the group enters a period of silent, meditative mark-making. Abigail holds the space, guiding gently when needed, mostly allowing the silence to do its work.

REFLECTION

The group surfaces. There is a brief, unhurried moment to look at what emerged — not to judge or analyse, but to notice. Participants keep their work.

THE FACILITATOR

Abigail Florence

Abigail Florence is a South African artist, certified art facilitator, and the creator of Scribble Meditation™. She has spent two decades developing a practice at the intersection of art, silence, and wellbeing — working across corporate, clinical, educational, and community settings.

Drawing on a foundation in social entrepreneurship, facilitation, and applied creative practice, her work bridges art, wellbeing, and experiential learning into a practical intervention that supports clarity, resilience, and connection.

Every session is led by Abigail personally. She brings materials, holds the space, and stays for the quiet conversation that follows.
